Good Afternoon Church,
Another Wednesday has come and that means it’s time to sit down and write my weekly email. These past 11 months of writing emails to you all have been wonderful and have given me a chance to let you into one of my spiritual disciplines. I love to write letters to people. And these emails have served as that outlet during my time with you all. Do not worry, there will still be one more email from me next week. My hope is that Pastor Halldor will continue these weekly communications in some way.
There will not be a Leadership Board meeting this Sunday June 20th. The next meeting will be on Sunday July 18th following coffee hour. Leadership Board members look out for an email from myself this week with board minutes from May.
Next week I will be meeting with Pastor Halldor. I am looking forward to getting to know him and to tell him about how wonderful a place Redeemer is. If there was something you could tell Pastor Halldor about Redeemer or a favorite tradition that you are looking forward to happening again since we are meeting in-person again. Please pass that along to me and I will make sure he gets them!
Our scripture for Sunday is: 2 Corinthians 6:1-13 and Mark 4:35-41.
Our prayer for the week is from Chalice Worship entitled For a Ray of Hope
O Dawn of the new creation,
spill a ray of hope to lift the hearts of your sons and daughters,
for we are bound by a vision that is not always clear to see.
As we live into your promises,
help us to help each other, for we truly need each other,
as you need us and we need you every day of our lives. Amen.
May this week land gently on us all.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Megan
