Hello Redeemer!
Â
The sun is shining and I hear tiny voices coming from downstairs as they look for leprechauns (no reports on if they have found them or a pot of Gold yet). Spring is right around the corner and the days are getting warmer! Soon we will be entering Holy Week and preparing ourselves to walk towards the cross. In preparation for that week please see the announcements below:
Â
Holy Week Bags: Still available to be picked up. They are on the table next to my office door. If you come and there is no communion left, please leave a note in the basket and we will get communion out to you. You will need communion for Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday. If you need someone to bring your bag to you, please let the church office know.Â
Â
Palm Sunday: Service will begin at 10:30am on Zoom. Please have your palm crosses with you so you may wave them or have them in view of the screen for our opening hymn.Â
Â
Maundy Thursday: Service will begin at 7:00pm on Zoom (same worship link for Sundays). You will need to have communion with you. Whether that is what you picked up from church or bread and juice of your own. The service will end after Shanelle is done with our closing song/postlude, I will end the meeting after that.Â
Â
Good Friday: Service will begin at 7:00pm on Zoom. This will be a service of Shadows and music, we will hear the stories that lead up to the crucifixion of Jesus as well as music that goes along with those passages. Again, once Shanelle is done playing our closing song/postlude, I will end the meeting. And we will next meet on Easter Sunday.Â
Â
Easter Sunday:Â Our service will start at 10:30am, gathering will begin at 10:20am and a little before 10:30am Shanelle will begin her gathering music/prelude. Our Alleluia sign will be brought back into our sanctuary and our service will officially be started. There will be many chances for us to sing during this service, as well as another chance for us to celebrate communion together.Â
Â
I am incredibly excited to spend my Holy Week with you all. The week after Holy Week and Easter I will be on vacation. From April 5th through April 12th I will be away from my email and phone and recharge to spend my last months with you all. Charlie Stehlik will be leading you in worship and preaching for you on April 11th.Â
Â
Attachments to look at are the pdf from Joyce Roper about the REI Training that is coming up and how to sign up for it. As well as a picture of our altar from this past Sunday. Kari Queen put a beautiful arrangement of candles together for us for our service. The top row (rainbow) was for Creation and Holy Week, blue for gospels, red Old and New Testaments, Tall White candles in glass for the 10 commandments, center white for the Trinity, and the rest were to fill it in to make 40 Day of Lent/Days & Nights of Rain.Â
Â
Friday March 19th is our last day to order flowers for Easter Sunday. See the attached flyer for more information.Â

Prayer for this week, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day: The Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May the rest of this week land gently on you.Â
Grace and Peace,Â
Pastor Megan
